The social prescribing team visit our practice regular and they can support patients access other support services like financial advisory services, volunteer support organisations and much more.

Ensures the smooth running of the reception area.

Work on the input of important computer data and arrange clinics.
Receptionists
Are the patients’ first contact with the surgery. Please help them by giving any information they require to enable them to process your request quickly and efficiently.
Community Nurses
The district nurses perform most of their work in patients' homes, tending to people who are housebound or too ill to leave their homes. Their work involves general nursing duties such as giving injections and dressing wounds as well as assessing and providing more complex nursing needs for more seriously ill patients.
Health Visitors
Health visitors are employed by the NHS Community Trust. They work mainly with the well population and are concerned with the family as well as individuals within the family. A large part of the health visitors time is spent monitoring the growth, development and social and physical health of children under 5 years, and their families. They undertake Well Baby Clinics, Health Promotion and Child Protection work and vaccinations. They are especially involved with breast feeding mothers, isolated and unsupported mothers and mothers with postnatal depression.
Macmillan Nurses
The Macmillan nurse provides help and support to terminally ill patients and their families. They can be contacted via Teesside Hospice (01642 816777)
Midwife
Attends to the needs of expectant and newly delivered mums, their families and their babies.
Counsellor
Can help with issues such as depression, low self-esteem and low self-confidence, bereavement and relationship problems.
